Akne Narben
Akne Narben werden oft als ästhetisches Problem betrachtet, können aber neben emotionalen Beeinträchtigungen auch verminderte Beweglichkeit der Region um die Vernarbungen verursachen.
Narben von schon lange abgeheilter Akne als auch noch aktive Akne können im dermatologischen Kontext sehr wirkungsvoll behandelt werden. Der Kongress im Januar in Mailand bot sehr viel Information zu medizinischen Möglichkeiten, aber auch für ScarWork Praktizierende sind mache Erkenntnisse hilfreich.
Zwar ist die Ursache bei allen eine Entzündung aufgrund von Vorgängen des Stoffwechsels (bedingt u.a. durch Ernährung, Hygiene, Hormone und genetischer Disposition), jedoch heilen sie unterschiedlich ab.
Akne Narben lassen sich aufgrund ihrer Form in 3 Gruppen unterscheiden: Spitz, eckig und wellenförmig (rolling acne scars).
Am besten lassen sich Rolling Scars, wellenförmige Vernarbungen mit ScarWork verändern. Die Hautoberfläche ist geschlossen mit Vertiefungen, die das Hautbild uneben erscheinen lassen. (FLS, Kreise in Kreisen und Wax-on wax-off , sowie flächige Katze;)
Box car Akne Narben sind eher eckige, lochartige Vertiefungen, deren Kanten eher gerade nach unten in die Haut verlaufen . Sie können sowohl oberflächlich als auch tief sein. Dermatologische Behandlung in Form von Laser, Stosswelle kann gute Ergebnisse bringen. Man kann man auch mit SW arbeiten, je nach tiefe ist man vielleicht nicht zufriedenstellend erfolgreich. (FLS, Kreise in Kreisen und Wax-on wax-off , sowie flächige Katze;)
Icepick -Spitze Narben sind schmale, tiefe Narben, die in einer Spitze enden. Die spitzen Trichter müssen bis zur tiefsten Spitze angesprochen werden, damit sich die Vertiefung füllen kann.
Für spitze Akne Narben würde ich, nach meinen Erkenntnissen von der ScarTreatment conference, eine spezifische, von erfahrenen und geschulten DermatologInnen praktizierte Behandlungsweise wählen, bei der mit einem Zahnstocher bis in die Narbentiefe ein Medikament eingearbeitet wird, mit medizinischer Nachversorgung im Anschluss. Wenn sich die tiefe Spitze zu lösen beginnt, die Narbe weicher, flacher und zugänglicher wird, könnte man wie bei den wellenförmigen Akne Narben mit SW fortfahren.
Acne Scars
Acne scars are often considered an aesthetic problem, but in addition to emotional distress, they can also cause reduced mobility in the area around the scars.
Scars from acne that has long since healed, as well as active acne, can be treated very effectively in a dermatological context. The congress in Milan in January provided a wealth of information on medical options, but some of the findings are also helpful for ScarWork practitioners.
Although the cause in all cases is inflammation due to metabolic processes (caused by factors such as diet, hygiene, hormones, and genetic disposition), they heal differently.
Acne scars can be divided into three groups based on their shape: icepick, boxcar, and rolling.
Rolling scars respond best to ScarWork. The skin surface is closed with depressions that make the skin appear uneven, like rolling waves. (SW e.g. FLS, circles-in- circles and wax-on wax-off, the cat)
Box car acne scars are more angular, hole-like depressions with edges that run straight down into the skin. They can be both superficial and deep. Dermatological treatment in the form of laser or shock wave therapy can produce good results. SW can also be used, but depending on the depth, the results may not be satisfactory. (SW e.g. FLS, circles-in- circles and wax-on wax-off, the cat)
Icepick scars are narrow, deep scars that end in a point. The pointed funnels must be addressed down to the deepest tip so that the depression releases and can be filled.
For pointed acne scars, based on my observations at the ScarTreatment conference, I would suggest a specific treatment method practiced by experienced and trained dermatologists, in which a medication is worked into the scar using a toothpick, followed by medical aftercare. When the deep tip begins to release and the scar becomes softer, flatter, and more accessible, you could continue with SW as with rolling acne scars.
